Geothermal Institute

Recent Courses

Working closely with MFAT and industry partners, the Geothermal Institute have delivered a range of short courses across the ASEAN region during 2017.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have set the aspirational target of securing 23% of its primary energy from modern sustainable and renewable sources by 2025. To support this endeavour the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT), via their Short Term Training Scholarship scheme, commissioned the Geothermal Institute to design, coordinate and deliver training programmes to support industry professionals in this region.

The Geothermal Institute worked closely with subject matter experts from industry, to design courses that were specifically catered to meet a skills gap in the industry.  The courses were structured to provide practical tools and ‘real world’ learning experiences, as well as share best practice from experts in the field. The course design included classroom learning and field trips to relevant sites.  The courses were presented and taught by top University of Auckland academics and leading energy industry experts.

The Geothermal Institute can tailor courses for your organisation. Contact us to talk about which course would be right for you.
