Geothermal Project Management

Short Term Training Scholarship providing practical project management tools and techniques for geothermal projects.

Geothermal Project Managment course

The Geothermal Project Management course was developed for the MFAT New Zealand Aid programme, as part of the Short Term Training Scholarship scheme.  It was designed to address a specific training need for middle managers working with geothermal projects in Indonesia and the Philippines.

The course was structured to provide participants with a broad understanding of the issues involved in taking a geothermal project from the initial exploration stage through to power plant construction, and electricity sales.

This was a four-week residential course that included classroom teaching, along with a field trip to a Central North Island geothermal power plants. It included presenters from industry and University of Auckland experts.  The participants learnt modern project management techniques and their application to the geothermal environment, along with best practice and applied practical knowledge specific to the ASEAN geothermal region.

This course was modular in design and can be therefore be adapted to suit specific participants needs and learning outcomes.  If you are looking to tailor a course similar to this for your organisation contact us to discuss which course would be right for you.
