Renewable Energy Project Management

This intensive four week course was developed to provide practical learning experiences and ‘real world’ training for industry professions in the ASEAN region who are working towards current or future renewable energy development projects.

Hosting engineers and managers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and Timor-Leste, this course included classroom teaching along with a four day field trip to the Central North Island to view renewable energy technologies in practice.

Led by industry experts and top University of Auckland academics, this course aimed to develop the understanding of the advantages and challenges of renewable energy systems and covered in detail Solar, Wind, Biofuel, Geothermal and Hydro technologies. Energy economics, grid integration and project management techniques were also presented by our experts.
