Practical project management tools and techniques for geothermal projects
Overview
In conjunction with the New Zealand Aid Programme Short Term Training Scholarship programme this course is specifically developed for Indonesia and the Philippines. This course is designed to enable participants to develop project management knowledge and skills specific to the geothermal sector, and use them in the workplace. The course will provide a broad understanding of the full set of issues involved in taking a geothermal project from initial exploration to power plant construction, and electricity sales. Modern project management techniques will be presented, as well as their application to the geothermal environment.
Presenters
The course is delivered by the Geothermal Institute, with a delivery team comprising world class authorities in professional geothermal project management. This means participants are getting access to experts who can share international best practice specific to the geothermal industry.
Who should apply
The course is suitable for middle managers who currently hold positions in Indonesian and Filipino geothermal development companies, as well as middle managers across government, private sector and non-governmental organisations.

When is the course
The course takes place Monday 13 March to Friday 7 April 2017.
It is a full residential course primarily in Auckland, New Zealand. There is one week in the Taupo Volcanic Zone in which participants will have the opportunity to visit a geothermal power plant and experience New Zealand geothermal surface features.
