An exciting opportunity is now available in the Engineering Infrastructure team directly reporting to the Generating Plant (Electrical) Team Leader based at Hamilton or Rotorua. You will fit into a skilled team that ensures the electrical integrity of station assets across fuel groups and provides operational engineering support to these assets.

To be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An ability to demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills and an ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of media to different audiences
  • An understanding of the commercial and technical aspects of electrical generating plant, as well as ancillary systems and their performance
  • Provide operational engineering or maintenance support to generation assets.
  • Excellent commercial analysis of engineering projects.
  • A good understanding of current Health and Safety legislation and have experience in risk management
  • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 4 + years relevant work experience (desirable)
