IIGCE 2025 Pre-Conference Workshop

Associate Professor Sadiq J. Zarrouk to Lead Day One of IIGCE 2025 Pre-Conference Workshop

We’re pleased to share that Associate Professor Sadiq J. Zarrouk has been invited to lead the first day of the Pre-Conference Workshop at the 11th Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE 2025), taking place next week in Jakarta on 15 September 2025.

This two-day special workshop, themed “Optimising Resource Sustainability While Maximising Power Output”, is presented by INAGA in collaboration with the Indonesia-Aotearoa New Zealand Geothermal Energy Programme (PINZ) and in association with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).

This offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from geothermal experts across both academia and industry.

Alongside Associate Professor Zarrouk, the workshop features lectures and practical sessions by representatives from MB Century, Jacobs, Seequent, MTL, Earth Sciences NZ, CaSil Technologies and other members of the Geothermal Institute team.

Designed to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration, the workshop will explore best practices in:

  • Reservoir engineering and surveillance
  • Resource management
  • Power plant operations
  • Scaling and corrosion mitigation
  • New technology innovations

The programme highlights how proven approaches from New Zealand and global partners can be adapted to support and accelerate geothermal developments in Indonesia.
