Statistics NZ reveal wind and geothermal as significant sources of energy

A recent Stats NZ report has revealed that geothermal’s contribution to renewable energy generation has significantly increased over the past 10 years. Increasing from 11.5% in 2007 to 21% in 2015, geothermal energy’s value has risen from $1.3 billion (NZD) to $2.9 billion over this period.
